In some shape or form has it harried the Eorzean waters since days of yore, and now it returns to the shores of Aldernard once more, in pursuit of bolstering its ranks with those possessed enough wit and potential to thrive within its folds.Imports, exports, wheeling and gray-area dealing--but a notable few of the rich facets the Company offers--provided the new meat repays it... In kind. As is the Limsan way.Beyond, a plethora of services and endeavours will be presented, ranging from shipping and exploration, to more secretive operations, allegedly involving magitek engineering, black-market information brokering and... Who may know what else?Of course, you might.

The choice is ultimately yours.Most importantly of all above, while meticulously selective, the Company is always keen on employing the finest of vessels, regardless which sort of sea-level they brave. If one has a mind to enlist within the Fleet's ranks, they best bring to the table precise skill behind the wheel of their ship.

History o' conduct

Few records and scriptures predate the present ledgers of the Free Company. Those still in good health haphazardly cover great spans of time, from Astral ages, and even to Umbral dates.One thing is certain; the Mithrin Fleet had been birthed long ago, if only under a different name.
Originally, it is all but certain that it hails from the frigid reaches of the Northern Empty... And only one realm is known to endure the tooth of time thither; the archipelago of Aerslaent, in common speak known as The Firstland, homeland of the Sea Wolves.It should come as little surprise, then, that the Fleet began as an exclusively-Roegadyn armada; and as the legendary, and in part dreadful, feats of Sea Wolf raiders of eld are etched in many-a-book, the campaign of an entourage of similar brand and crest can easily be found littering these same pages, among many other mentions.Following its expansion towards southern lands, the once-reserved, rigorous recruitment methods were unshackled in part, allowing for more liberty of choice where potential personnel was concerned. Nowadays, the Fleet's decks and mast posts are open to any and all... Provided they can weather an occasionally strict code of conduct, entrenched in the roots of their long-passed history as fearless harriers of the high seas.

Sign here, here and here, and keep your tongue behind your teeth.From the mundane day-to-day routine deliveries, to more private engagements, no task is too large or trivial for the Fleet.Occasionally, the Company has been known to dabble in the business of escorting vessels, deals that'd make any privateer blush, and no less could a task or few of infiltration into Garlean reaches be attributed to the Company's many accomplishments. Or so the word on the streets is carried.Rest at ease knowing that, no matter the business it engages, the Company keeps high appearances under the governance of the Thalassocracy. Not that you ought to worry over that, anyroads...Sky, waves or seabed; no altitude stands in the way of the Fleet.

At the discretion of the Captain, the Company may make use of most of the airships, longships, tradeships and select few submarines.
Upon a member's request, and after a thorough inspection, the newly recruited personnel may enlist their own vessel into the lineup.

Heavily guarded and allowing minimal trespass, the underground specialized magitek workshop contains some of the most useless, as well as some of the most seemingly elusive, puzzling pieces of Allagan, Garlean and other origin.Given as this is a vital part of the Company's focus, only allowed trained personnel are permitted within. Ware the various ship modification blueprints.

For the most persistent of all folk, delve deep enough into the folds of the Company's headquarters, and you may just find yourself in the belly of the beast, as a great deal of not only Vylbrandian, but Thanalan and Gridanian criminal life and beyond is reported in the deepest recesses of the Company's quarters.

The Silversail Bay

Located in the 3rd ward on plot 14, the Mist residence stands tall and pristine, with an immense backdrop towering nigh on high behind it.Within it, the local visitor might find a warm reception desk, well-lit atmospheric rooms, a rustic, hearty tavern and a gathering quarter reserved only for Company members and, at times associates.

An out-of-character interview and approval predates in-character interviews.III. Then you may just find a home within the darker circles that dwell beneath the Company's appearances.Intel of the latest crimes stretching across all of Eorzea and beyond can be reported, bartered and acquired here. One must only know where to look, who to flash a cordial smile to, and what sort of information they're after.Likewise, among our assortment of services, due to the Company's historical presence, should one have need of manipulating the flow of information within the underbelly of various locales, they ought not turn anywhere else. To its most prominent clients, the Fleet is ready and willing to do a bit of black market information manipulation.This also applies to those that wish to rectify the status of their bounties in the crime world, too.Or try your luck, and see what less-than-legal goods and questionable wares you can find beneath the surface.No in-house crime will be tolerated on the premises, however. The Thalassocracy wouldn't look too kindly on that...
